Austin Mahone’s secret is out. Or rather it will be soon.
Today (April 4), which also happens to be his 18th birthday, Mahone revealed that his debut, The Secret, will be out on May 27.
In a statement, Mahone thanked his fans, writing, “This is for my Mahomies. Thank you for supporting me and sticking with me all this time. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than to be able to announce new music and a huge tour for all you guys!”

Mahone has already given fans a first taste of the upcoming record with the single, “Mmm Yeah” featuring Pitbull, but it’s also been reported that the pop star spent some time in the studio with Lady Gaga’s right hand man, RedOne and Swedish producer, Max Martin, who’s previously worked his pop magic with Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
To coincide with the release of his long awaited debut, the teen will head out on a North American tour, kicking things off on July 25 in San Antonio, TX.
In an interview with Radio.com, Mahone talked about opening for Swift and what he learned for his own tour. “With Taylor Swift, she puts on a two hour show,” Mahone said. “The whole thing is a story and it keeps people drawn in to it so they don’t get bored. I can definitely learn a lot from that.”
